A little bit about me...

Hi, I’m Candice Greene, a NYS licensed therapist with a Certificate of Clinical Competence in the field of Speech-Language Pathology through ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) and certified Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (NYSED)

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science Disorders and Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from St. John’s University.  

After nearly a decade of working in both academic and clinical settings, I’ve branched out to offer private speech therapy services.

Things I’m passionate about & areas of expertise: I am passionate about my field and supporting clients with their speech-language development and skills. Providing them with strategies to strengthen their speech-language skills in all settings to improve their ability to efficiently and effectively communicate in all settings. Areas of expertise include: augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), bilingualism, cultural responsive teaching, multiculturalism, literacy, and social-emotional learning.

  • Academic Interventions Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of academic interventions. 
  • Educational Technology Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of educational technology. 
  • Big Five of Reading Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of reading/literacy.  
  • Classroom and Behavioral Management Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of classroom and behavioral management.  
  • Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of diversity, equity, and inclusion.  
  • Teaching Students with Special Needs Competency – Awarded by University of California San Diego. Given to distinguished specialists in the area of classroom and behavioral management.
